Week of the 20th May
The Griffiths party caught 4 salmon for their week.
Apart from a brief rise in the water on the 21st the water was low. Hugo Griffiths caught 2 salmon, one on Monday from the Neck of the Morail when the river started to rise and the second on Tuesday morning from the Morail itself. The first was 8lb and the second 9lb.
The party had several people in it that could not fish so had hired David Mateer, a casting instructor to help them. He managed to get two of them their first fish. Charlie Walker caught his in the Lower Craigs first thing on Wednesday morning weighing 6lb and Ed Dennis caught his late in the day from Gardners also weighing 6lb.
All were returned.
