River report
We suffered from lowish water everyday bar Saturday when the river rose overnight Friday to about a foot. Unfortunately, by the morning it was back to 0 on the gauge.
Olly Alston caught the only fish off Braelangwell on Saturday afternoon, a 7lber from the Morail.
The party also had the Gledfield beat and a beat on Dounie where they caught 2 salmon.
Three salmon came off the Cornhill beat and we hear Amat had their first of the season. We suspected a fish would come from above the Morail as the water temp reached 48c for the first time this year enabling the fish to go over the Morail falls.
Although catches are slow quite a lot of fish were showing this week which is encouraging.
