“We have all returned safely from another fantastic week at Braelangwell.  We have acquired some additional admirers for everything the Lodge and surroundings have to offer and it was with heavy hearts and heavy heads that we left yesterday! Despite the sunny weather for most of the week we were all rewarded with an incredible days fishing on Saturday with all of the party having fish on and all but one landing them, including one novice-how brilliant is that?!  We have run out of superlatives for both Finlay and Anne respectively.  Finlay was superb and dedicated 2 days to coach and coax our novice who was rewarded with his experience of a lifetime as well as making sure the rest of the party were happy.  We all thoroughly enjoyed his company and we would be grateful if you could please pass on our thanks.  Anne is responsible for expanding all our waistlines and chins with some fantastic creations and meals at home this week will seem somewhat average, again please pass on our sincere thanks.  The only sad note is that we now have to wait for another year before returning to your beautiful estate and the wonderful experience it offers, many thanks on behalf of our team.”

“Braelangwell plays such an important part in our year now that any opportunity to visit is welcomed with open arms and great cries of glee!”

“We loved the lodge, the location  and the river too as it is a very pretty piece of water that I am sure looks even more inviting when at a decent height.  There were a number of us, myself included who, on hearing that next week was unlet were prepared to camp in the garden and move back in if work commitments had allowed!   In particular I would add that Finlay is a terrific asset to the estate and we greatly enjoyed his company and his good humour and hope he will forgive us for not fishing as hard as we undoubtedly would have done given more water and for perhaps making more use of the Bonar Bridge golf course than might be the norm.

“In all, despite the river being so low we had a lovely holiday and much of that was down to the great help we had from Rhona and Belinda and some delicious food from Margaret.  We could not have been looked after better.  I hope I am not being premature in saying that if at all possible we would love to take it again next year and for many years to come.”

“The Lodge was really comfortable and well-equipped. The fishing was varied and good…I would like to say how much we appreciated Finlay and Belinda, both of whom we found really helpful and friendly, they helped make the week such a success.”

“As always, we thoroughly enjoyed the week – inspite of the fact that it was blank apart from some excellent sea trout caught on the Morail. Anne Ross was first rate in the kitchen. Rhona, as always wonderful and Finlay kept our spirits up – rain always expected in the next day or so!”
