Bonar Bridge

The nearest villages of Bonar Bridge and Argay are only a few miles away where there is an excellent butcher and other shops supplying basic provisions. The nearest town, Tain is about twenty minutes away where there are supermarkets and a wide selection of high quality shops. For those that like pottery there is both Tain Pottery and a short distance to the south west Anta Interior Designs.
To the North is Dornoch, Golspie and Brora, all of which provide fabulous shopping and a visit to theJail at Dornoch is always well worth it.

Eating Out
There are three restaurants which are all highly recommended and should be booked in advance.

Sutor Creek – 21 Bank Street, Cromarty IV11 8YE

01381 810893
A family restaurant offering locally-sourced, seasonal produce and wood-fired pizzas including Cromarty langoustines, crabs and lobsters, Black Isle meats and vegetables, edible flowers, with foraged mushrooms and herbs incorporated into their dishes when in season.

The Oystercatcher – Main Street, Portmahomack IV20 1YB

01862 871560
Another quality family restaurant specialising in seafood and locally caught shellfish. There is always something for everyone in this lovely little restaurant – a great marriage of Scottish and Provencal flavours provided in the menu.

Luigi – 1 Castle Street, Dornoch IV25 3SN

01862 810893
With a slightly more modern twist this is a café by day offering soups, salad and home baking whilst in the evening it turns into a fine dining restaurant offering a contemporary European menu with an emphasis on Scottish seafood and locally sourced ingredients.
